Alongside with the 74th Venice Film Festival, the historical boat of Pier Pasolini “Edipo Re” will host the photographic exhibition “Fino alla fine del mare” by Jacopo Di Cera. The exhibition is part of the event “Isola Edipo” organised by the Società Cooperativa Onlus “Impresa Re”, in partnership with the Università degli studi di Padova and Kip International School – Onu. The 30 pictures of the Milanese photographer tell about a deeply current topic nowadays namely migration. Through his pictures, Di Cera reveals in a new and sensitive way using chromatic and visual connections, what hides behind the eyes of those who leave their homeland. The artist has decided to do that through a series of photos of boats fragments taken in the boat cemetery in Lampedusa. The shoots have been directly printed on the wood, the emblem-material of the undertaken journey.
